Ron's finance deal

Ron, from Bucasia, came along to the shop one day just to have a look at the boats and to kill some time. He certainly wasn't expecting to literally save money by walking through a boat shop. Who would?

After a chat with Fred the salesman about what he would like to do with a boat and how many people he would take with him, Ron found out that his ideal boat would be a Brooker Safari 410 with a Tohatsu 30HP outboard on top of a good Brooker Trailer so that he could launch the boat from the Bucasia boat ramp right after work to catch his diner. The dream!

But Ron had a problem. At first he did not really want to talk about it, but he finally decided to speak his mind.

Ron, at this time, did not have the first dollar to put on the boat, so when Fred told him that it should not be a problem; he looked at Fred like a member of a new generation of extra-crook salesmen.
But Fred had a secret weapon, "Steve."

Steve, from All Finanz, is a financier who has experience in banking, and has been working as a finance broker for some years; he knows those things.
So a meeting with Steve and Ron was arranged on the following day.

And guess what?
A bit of paperwork and some signatures later, the money for the boat was there, but this is still no big surprise on performance.

The surprise is there: Ron was walking out with a boat package AND his bills SLASHED BACK by a whooping $340 per month!?!?

Steve had a look at Ron's overall financial situation; new job, existing loans, tax, new boat loan and so on, and refinanced the whole lot at a much better rate than before.
That's how Ron walked away with a 'free' boat and $490 monthly loan repayments instead of $830.

Wouldn't you wish you were in the same boat? Come check us out and see what we can do for you!

Sincerely, Fred.

Darren's Tohatsu 30HP 4-Stroke

Darren, from Mackay, turned up one morning at Ocean Marine with a problem to solve.

He's got a Quintrex 420 Vee Bow Punt he bought with a new Evinrude 30HP, which is the maximum horsepower recommended for this boat.

But since he bought it, he's added a few things to it; floor, casting deck, motor well and deck. Every time he goes fishing, he takes lots of gear, lots of mates, lots of ice, lots of fishes and lots of beer; his Evinrude 30HP was struggling to get up and go.

Darren didn't know what to do.
Some of his mates with similar boats and same situations had decided to go 40HP, with the risk of not being legal, but Darren did not want to go that way.

When he explained his problem, Fred remembered another customer; Garth, who ordered a Tohatsu 30HP 4-stroke to push a Stessl 425 Edge Tracker Tournament, 2 meter wide, with floor, casting deck, motor well and deck (much like Darren's). Once it had been fitted, he couldn't believe how this Tohatsu 30HP 4-stroke was able to push that boat better than a 40HP 2 cylinder.

So a test run was organized with Darren at Kitchant Dam on Saturday morning. His boat was filled right to the top, as usual; not forgetting the carton of beer!

The Evinrude 30HP was removed and the Tohatsu 30HP 4-stroke was fitted on the back of the boat; there were 3 blokes between 80 and 90kg plus one kid. Fred started to open up the throttle a bit, and RROOOAAAARR, here she went, in a matter of seconds and loaded with all this weight, the Quinnie was already planning.
The acceleration was impressive and Darren couldn't believe how this Tohatsu was so easily pushing his boat.

Darren then took command of the vessel and tried to challenge this "bastard" with sharp turns, eights, stops and starts. NO WAY!

Darren and Fred still don't know how this Tohatsu 30HP 4-stroke could push so hard; hard like a 40HP! But it's doing it, and that solved Darren's problem.

On top of its great power, the Tohatsu 30HP 4-stroke 2006 comes with an Electronic Fuel Injection system (EFI), which means no more carburettors; this makes it cleaner, economical and very easy to start, even the rope-start one.

So, if you or one of your mates have the same problem as Darren, ring Ocean Marine on 4952 2436, talk to Lincoln or Fred, and book for a test run.

Sincerely, Fred.
